Engineering and architectural drawings contain vast amount of information on paper. There is need to share this data. There is need to update and modify this data. There is need to re-use drawing information from an older drawing and create a new and improved design. ARDEM can receive the engineering or architectural drawing on paper or as a marked up, red-lined drawing. We will scan the drawing to PDF or another easily readable format using large format scanners. In some cases the client only wants to scan drawings to archive. Some clients want to convert the scan to CAD. The engineering drawing scan image is converted to a vector drawing using conversion software. It is then followed up with an expert designer performing the “clean-up” of the converted image in application software such as AutoCAD, Microstation etc. ARDEM further offers a hosting solution which allows for storage of scanned engineering drawing images on a secure password protected server and search and retrieval of these images using ARDEM QuickFind.
